The figure counts encrypted images
Park24 says about 1.46 million identity-document images showed traces of external transmission. They were stored encrypted, so transmission alone does not establish immediate readability; future decryption cannot be ruled out. Image counts are not necessarily unique individuals.
Assistance details and deletion remain scheduled
Eligible customers whose encrypted identity images showed traces of access or external transmission are to receive cash or vouchers worth ¥3,000. Details will be announced later. The company changed its rules to stop retaining images after registration and plans to delete retained images by the end of October; it has not said deletion was completed on the 23rd.
