Goodwill payment for current service customers
GMO plans ¥5,000 regardless of monetary loss, with procedures and payment timing to be emailed by October 30 at 23:59. It also offered an alternative service free for six months to those requesting it. The offer does not cover every customer of every GMO service.
Trading losses require verification
Compensation covers realized losses and fees from trades GMO recognizes as resulting from this incident. Market movements, expected profits and indirect losses are excluded. Application details are due by November 6. Announcing a policy is different from completing payments; customers need the latest official terms.
