Connecting research with local settings
Toyonaka partnered with Kyoto University's Beyond 2050 social common capital research division. The city says local areas will host research and social trials, with students and researchers joining community activities.
Implementation and evidence together
Proposed work includes intergenerational programs, sustainable community hubs, evaluation and communication of findings. Wellbeing is a goal, not an effect proven by signing an agreement. What is tried and how changes for residents are assessed could generate lessons useful elsewhere.
